01Searching for people

The dog locates casualties in natural, urban and extreme environments, including areas of rubble.

02Explosives detection

Detects explosives and indicates their location to specialists.

03Working in extreme conditions

Maintains effectiveness around noise, gunfire, fire and other sources of stress.

04Accompanying operational units

Supports military personnel and rescuers, operating in high-risk areas.

05Teamwork

Coordinates with people, drones and technical reconnaissance equipment as an integrated part of the unit's work.

06Additional modules for the unit's needs

Enhanced explosives detection training, working with technical equipment and preparation for conditions resembling those near the front line. The programme is agreed around the unit's particular requirements.

Completing training

Examination in the training discipline

The handler and dog take a final examination. On passing, the school issues a certificate in the dog's name for Search Dog Training.

The owner's work between sessions

Progress depends on existing skills, the dog's condition and regular practice by the owner. A skill learnt at the training ground needs to be gradually applied to everyday situations.

Questions and answers

Training, owner participation and course terms.

How can we join the Search Dog Training course?
The programme is available exclusively to official bodies and organisations: military units, rescue services, police and other registered institutions. Participation is possible only as part of the activities of an officially registered unit or service. We do not work with private individuals or amateur enquiries.
Which breeds do we work with?
We select working breeds with physical strength, stamina and a stable temperament, such as shepherd dogs, Malinois and Labradors. This guarantees reliable work in genuinely hazardous conditions.
Can the programme be adapted to a particular unit's requirements?
Yes. Specialist modules are developed in agreement with the client, such as enhanced explosives detection, an extended module on working with equipment, or preparation for operating near the front line.
Can dogs be trained to work alongside drones and technical reconnaissance?
Yes. The course includes modern modules on coordinating dogs' actions with unmanned systems and technical search equipment.
How long is the course?
The full training cycle takes 9–12 months, depending on the objectives. Accelerated modules can be developed for specific unit requirements.
